  1. 葡萄酒(포도주)는 倨慢(거만)케 하는 것이요 毒酒(독주)는 떠들게 하는 것이라 무릇 이에 迷惑(미혹)되는 者(자)에게는 智慧(지혜)가 없느니라
  2. 王(왕)의 震怒(진노)는 獅子(사자)의 부르짖음 같으니 그를 怒(노)하게 하는 것은 自己(자기)의 生命(생명)을 害(해)하는 것이니라
  3. 다툼을 멀리 하는 것이 사람에게 榮光(영광)이어늘 미련한 者(자)마다 다툼을 일으키느니라
  4. 게으른 者(자)는 가을에 밭 갈지 아니하나니 그러므로 거둘 때에는 求乞(구걸)할지라도 얻지 못하리라
  5. 사람의 마음에 있는 謀略(모략)은 깊은 물 같으니라 그럴지라도 明哲(명철)한 사람은 그것을 길어 내느니라

  1. Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
  2. The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.
  3. It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
  4. The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
  5. Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
  1. Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.
  2. A king's wrath is like the roar of a lion; he who angers him forfeits his life.
  3. It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.
  4. A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing.
  5. The purposes of a man's heart are deep waters, but a man of understanding draws them out.
  1. 많은 사람은 各其(각기) 自己(자기)의 仁慈(인자)함을 자랑하나니 忠誠(충성)된 者(자)를 누가 만날 수 있으랴
  2. 完全(완전)히 行(행)하는 者(자)가 義人(의인)이라 그 後孫(후손)에게 福(복)이 있느니라
  3. 審判(심판) 자리에 앉은 王(왕)은 그 눈으로 모든 惡(악)을 흩어지게 하느니라
  4. 내가 내 마음을 淨(정)하게 하였다, 내 罪(죄)를 깨끗하게 하였다 할 者(자)가 누구뇨
  5. 한결 같지 않은 저울 錘(추)와 말은 다 여호와께서 미워하시느니라

  1. Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
  2. The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.
  3. A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
  4. Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
  5. Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the Lord.
  1. Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find?
  2. The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him.
  3. When a king sits on his throne to judge, he winnows out all evil with his eyes.
  4. Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin"?
  5. Differing weights and differing measures--the LORD detests them both.
  1. 비록 아이라도 그 動作(동작)으로 自己(자기)의 品行(품행)의 淸潔(청결)하며 正直(정직)한 與否(여부)를 나타내느니라
  2. 듣는 귀와 보는 눈은 다 여호와의 지으신 것이니라
  3. 너는 잠자기를 좋아하지 말라 네가 貧窮(빈궁)하게 될까 두려우니라 네 눈을 뜨라 그리하면 糧食(량식)에 足(족)하리라
  4. 사는 者(자)가 物件(물건)이 좋지 못하다 좋지 못하다 하다가 돌아간 後(후)에는 자랑하느니라
  5. 世上(세상)에 金(금)도 있고 眞珠(진주)도 많거니와 智慧(지혜)로운 입술이 더욱 貴(귀)한 보배니라

  1. Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
  2. The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.
  3. Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
  4. It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
  5. There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
  1. Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.
  2. Ears that hear and eyes that see--the LORD has made them both.
  3. Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare.
  4. "It's no good, it's no good!" says the buyer; then off he goes and boasts about his purchase.
  5. Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.

  2. 속이고 取(취)한 植物(식물)은 맛이 좋은듯하나 後(후)에는 그 입에 모래가 가득하게 되리라
  3. 무릇 經營(경영)은 議論(의논)함으로 成就(성취)하나니 謀略(모략)을 베풀고 戰爭(전쟁)할지니라
  4. 두루 다니며 閒談(한담)하는 者(자)는 남의 秘密(비밀)를 漏洩(누설)하니니 입술을 벌린 者(자)를 사귀지 말지니라
  5. 自己(자기)의 아비나 어미를 詛呪(저주)하는 者(자)는 그 燈(등)불이 幽暗(유암) 中(중)에 꺼짐을 當(당)하리라

  1. Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
  2. Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
  3. Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
  4. He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.
  5. Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
  1. Take the garment of one who puts up security for a stranger; hold it in pledge if he does it for a wayward woman.
  2. Food gained by fraud tastes sweet to a man, but he ends up with a mouth full of gravel.
  3. Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance.
  4. A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man who talks too much.
  5. If a man curses his father or mother, his lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.
  1. 처음에 速(속)히 잡은 産業(산업)은 마침내 福(복)이 되지 아니하느니라
  2. 너는 惡(악)을 갚겠다 말하지 말고 여호와를 기다리라 그가 너를 救援(구원)하시리라
  3. 한결 같지 않은 저울 錘(추)는 여호와의 미워하시는 것이요 속이는 저울은 좋지 못한 것이니라
  4. 사람의 걸음은 여호와께로서 말미암나니 사람이 어찌 自己(자기)의 길을 알 수 있으랴
  5. 함부로 이 物件(물건)을 거룩하다하여 誓願(서원)하고 그 後(후)에 살피면 그것이 그물이 되느니라

  1. An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.
  2. Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee.
  3. Divers weights are an abomination unto the Lord; and a FALSE balance is not good.
  4. Man's goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way?
  5. It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make inquiry.
  1. An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning will not be blessed at the end.
  2. Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you.
  3. The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him.
  4. A man's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?
  5. It is a trap for a man to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider his vows.
  1. 智慧(지혜)로운 王(왕)은 惡人(악인)을 키질하며 打作(타작)하는 바퀴로 그 위에 굴리느니라
  2. 사람의 靈魂(령혼)은 여호와의 燈(등)불이라 사람의 깊은 속을 살피느니라
  3. 王(왕)은 仁慈(인자)와 眞理(진리)로 스스로 保護(보호)하고 그 位(위)도 仁慈(인자)함으로 말미암아 堅固(견고)하니라
  4. 젊은 者(자)의 榮華(영화)는 그 힘이요 늙은 者(자)의 아름다운 것은 白髮(백발)이니라
  5. 傷(상)하게 때리는 것이 惡(악)을 없이 하나니 매는 사람의 속에 깊이 들어가느니라

  1. A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
  2. The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
  3. Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.
  4. The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head.
  5. The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.
  1. A wise king winnows out the wicked; he drives the threshing wheel over them.
  2. The lamp of the LORD searches the spirit of a man; it searches out his inmost being.
  3. Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love his throne is made secure.
  4. The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old.
  5. Blows and wounds cleanse away evil, and beatings purge the inmost being.
