  1. 惡人(악인)은 쫓아 오는 者(자)가 없어도 逃亡(도망)하나 義人(의인)은 獅子(사자) 같이 膽大(담대)하니라
  2. 나라는 罪(죄)가 있으면 主管者(주관자)가 많아져도 明哲(명철)과 知識(지식) 있는 사람으로 말미암아 長久(장구)하게 되느니라
  3. 가난한 者(자)를 虐待(학대)하는 가난한 者(자)는 穀食(곡식)을 남기지 아니하는 暴雨(폭우)같으니라
  4. 律法(률법)을 버린 者(자)는 惡人(악인)을 稱讚(칭찬)하나 律法(률법)을 지키는 者(자)는 惡人(악인)을 對敵(대적)하느니라
  5. 惡人(악인)은 公義(공의)를 깨닫지 못하나 여호와를 찾는 者(자)는 모든 것을 깨닫느니라

  1. The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
  2. For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
  3. A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
  4. They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
  5. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.
  1. The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
  2. When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a man of understanding and knowledge maintains order.
  3. A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.
  4. Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them.
  5. Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.
  1. 誠實(성실)히 行(행)하는 가난한 者(자)는 邪曲(사곡)히 行(행)하는 富者(부자)보다 나으니라
  2. 律法(률법)을 지키는 者(자)는 智慧(지혜)로운 아들이요 貪食者(탐식자)를 사귀는 者(자)는 아비를 辱(욕)되게 하는 者(자)니라
  3. 重(중)한 邊利(변리)로 自己(자기) 財産(재산)을 많아지게 하는 것은 가난한 사람 불쌍히 여기는 者(자)를 爲(위)하여 그 財産(재산)을 貯蓄(저축)하는 것이니라
  4. 사람이 귀를 돌이키고 律法(률법)을 듣지 아니하면 그의 祈禱(기도)도 可憎(가증)하니라
  5. 正直(정직)한 者(자)를 惡(악)한 길로 誘引(유인)하는 者(자)는 스스로 自己(자기) 陷穽(함정)에 빠져도 誠實(성실)한 者(자)는 福(복)을 얻느니라

  1. Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
  2. Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
  3. He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
  4. He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
  5. Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
  1. Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse.
  2. He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father.
  3. He who increases his wealth by exorbitant interest amasses it for another, who will be kind to the poor.
  4. If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable.
  5. He who leads the upright along an evil path will fall into his own trap, but the blameless will receive a good inheritance.
  1. 富者(부자)는 自己(자기)를 智慧(지혜)롭게 여겨도 明哲(명철)한 가난한 者(자)는 그를 살펴 아느니라
  2. 義人(의인)이 得意(득의)하면 큰 榮華(영화)가 있고 惡人(악인)이 일어나면 사람이 숨느니라
  3. 自己(자기)의 罪(죄)를 숨기는 者(자)는 亨通(형통)치 못하나 罪(죄)를 自服(자복)하고 버리는 者(자)는 불쌍히 여김을 받으리라
  4. 恒常(항상) 敬畏(경외)하는 者(자)는 福(복)되거니와 마음을 剛愎(강퍅)하게 하는 者(자)는 災殃(재앙)에 빠지리라
  5. 가난한 百姓(백성)을 壓制(압제)하는 惡(악)한 官員(관원)은 부르짖는 獅子(사자)와 주린 곰 같으니라

  1. The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
  2. When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
  3. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
  4. Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
  5. As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
  1. A rich man may be wise in his own eyes, but a poor man who has discernment sees through him.
  2. When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, men go into hiding.
  3. He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
  4. Blessed is the man who always fears the LORD, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.
  5. Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked man ruling over a helpless people.
  1. 無知(무지)한 治理者(치리자)는 暴虐(포학)을 크게 行(행)하거니와 貪慾(탐욕)을 미워하는 者(자)는 長壽(장수)하리라
  2. 사람의 피를 흘린 者(자)는 陷穽(함정)으로 달려갈 것이니 그를 막지 말지니라
  3. 誠實(성실)히 行(행)하는 者(자)는 救援(구원)을 얻을 것이나 邪曲(사곡)히 行(행)하는 者(자)는 곧 넘어지리라
  4. 自己(자기)의 土地(토지)를 耕作(경작)하는 者(자)는 먹을 것이 많으려니와 放蕩(방탕)을 좇는 者(자)는 窮乏(궁핍)함이 많으리라
  5. 忠誠(충성)된 者(자)는 福(복)이 많아도 速(속)히 富(부)하고자 하는 者(자)는 刑罰(형벌)을 免(면)치 못하리라

  1. The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.
  2. A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
  3. Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.
  4. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
  5. A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
  1. A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment, but he who hates ill-gotten gain will enjoy a long life.
  2. A man tormented by the guilt of murder will be a fugitive till death; let no one support him.
  3. He whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but he whose ways are perverse will suddenly fall.
  4. He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
  5. A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.
  1. 사람의 낯을 보아주는 것이 좋지 못하고 한 조각 떡을 因(인)하여 犯法(범법)하는 것도 그러하니라
  2. 惡(악)한 눈이 있는 者(자)는 財物(재물)을 얻기에만 急(급)하고 貧窮(빈궁)이 自己(자기)에게로 臨(임)할 줄은 알지 못하느니라
  3. 사람을 警責(경책)하는 者(자)는 혀로 阿諂(아첨)하는 者(자)보다 나중에 더욱 사랑을 받느니라
  4. 父母(부모)의 物件(물건)을 盜賊(도적)질하고 罪(죄)가 아니라 하는 者(자)는 滅亡(멸망)케 하는 者(자)의 同類(동류)니라
  5. 마음이 貪(탐)하는 者(자)는 다툼을 일으키나 여호와를 依支(의지)하는 者(자)는 豊足(풍족)하게 되느니라

  1. To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.
  2. He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
  3. He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
  4. Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.
  5. He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.
  1. To show partiality is not good--yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.
  2. A stingy man is eager to get rich and is unaware that poverty awaits him.
  3. He who rebukes a man will in the end gain more favor than he who has a flattering tongue.
  4. He who robs his father or mother and says, "It's not wrong"--he is partner to him who destroys.
  5. A greedy man stirs up dissension, but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper.
  1. 自己(자기)의 마음을 믿는 者(자)는 미련한 者(자)요 智慧(지혜)롭게 行(행)하는 者(자)는 救援(구원)을 얻을 者(자)니라
  2. 가난한 者(자)를 救濟(구제)하는 者(자)는 窮乏(궁핍)하지 아니 하려니와 못본체 하는 者(자)에게는 詛呪(저주)가 많으리라
  3. 惡人(악인)이 일어나면 사람이 숨고 그가 滅亡(멸망)하면 義人(의인)이 많아지느니라

  1. He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe.
  2. He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.
  3. When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.
