  1. 많은 財物(재물)보다 名譽(명예)를 擇(택)할 것이요 銀(은)이나 金(금)보다 恩寵(은총)을 더욱 擇(택)할 것이니라
  2. 貧富(빈부)가 섞여 살거니와 무릇 그들을 지으신 이는 여호와시니라
  3. 슬기로운 者(자)는 災殃(재앙)을 보면 숨어 避(피)하여도 어리석은 者(자)들은 나아가다가 害(해)를 받느니라
  4. 謙遜(겸손)과 여호와를 敬畏(경외)함의 報應(보응)은 財物(재물)과 榮光(영광)과 生命(생명)이니라
  5. 悖逆(패역)한 者(자)의 길에는 가시와 올무가 있거니와 靈魂(령혼)을 지키는 者(자)는 이를 멀리 하느니라

  1. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
  2. The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all.
  3. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
  4. By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.
  5. Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.
  1. A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
  2. Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all.
  3. A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
  4. Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life.
  5. In the paths of the wicked lie thorns and snares, but he who guards his soul stays far from them.

  2. 富者(부자)는 가난한 者(자)를 主管(주관)하고 빚진 者(자)는 債主(채주)의 종이 되느니라
  3. 惡(악)을 뿌리는 者(자)는 災殃(재앙)을 거두리니 그 忿怒(분노)의 氣勢(기세)가 衰(쇠)하리라
  4. 善(선)한 눈을 가진 者(자)는 福(복)을 받으리니 이는 糧食(량식)을 가난한 者(자)에게 줌이니라
  5. 倨慢(거만)한 者(자)를 쫓아내면 다툼이 쉬고 싸움과 羞辱(수욕)이 그치느니라

  1. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
  2. The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
  3. He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.
  4. He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
  5. Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

  3. 게으른 者(자)는 말하기를 獅子(사자)가 밖에 있은즉 내가 나가면 거리에서 찢기겠다 하느니라
  4. 淫女(음녀)의 입은 깊은 陷穽(함정)이라 여호와의 怒(노)를 當(당)한 者(자)는 거기 빠지리라
  5. 아이의 마음에는 미련한 것이 얽혔으나 懲戒(징계)하는 채찍이 이를 멀리 쫓아내리라

  1. He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.
  2. The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.
  3. The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
  4. The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the Lord shall fall therein.
  5. Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
  1. He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend.
  2. The eyes of the LORD keep watch over knowledge, but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.
  3. The sluggard says, "There is a lion outside!" or, "I will be murdered in the streets!"
  4. The mouth of an adulteress is a deep pit; he who is under the LORD'S wrath will fall into it.
  5. Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.
  1. 利(이)를 얻으려고 가난한 者(자)를 虐待(학대)하는 者(자)와 富者(부자)에게 주는 者(자)는 가난하여질 뿐이니라
  2. 너는 귀를 기울여 智慧(지혜)있는 者(자)의 말씀을 들으며 내 知識(지식)에 마음을 둘지어다
  3. 이것을 네 속에 保存(보존)하며 네 입술에 있게 함이 아름다우니라
  4. 내가 너로 여호와를 依賴(의뢰)하게 하려 하여 이것을 오늘 特別(특별)히 네게 알게 하였노니
  5. 내가 謀略(모략)과 知識(지식)의 아름다운 것을 記錄(기록)하여

  1. He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.
  2. Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.
  3. For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.
  4. That thy trust may be in the Lord, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
  5. Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,
  1. He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and he who gives gifts to the rich--both come to poverty.
  2. Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach,
  3. for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.
  4. So that your trust may be in the LORD, I teach you today, even you.
  5. Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge,
  1. 너로 眞理(진리)의 確實(확실)한 말씀을 깨닫게 하며 또 너를 보내는 者(자)에게 眞理(진리)의 말씀으로 回答(회답)하게 하려 함이 아니냐
  2. 弱(약)한 者(자)를 弱(약)하다고 奪取(탈취)하지 말며 困苦(곤고)한 者(자)를 城門(성문)에서 壓制(압제)하지 말라
  3. 大抵(대저) 여호와께서 伸寃(신원)하여 주시고 또 그를 擄略(노략)하는 者(자)의 生命(생명)을 빼앗으시리라
  4. 怒(노)를 품는 者(자)와 사귀지 말며 鬱憤(울분)한 者(자)와 同行(동행)하지 말지니
  5. 그 行爲(행위)를 本(본)받아서 네 靈魂(령혼)을 올무에 빠칠까 두려움이니라

  1. That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
  2. Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
  3. For the Lord will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.
  4. Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
  5. Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
  1. teaching you true and reliable words, so that you can give sound answers to him who sent you?
  2. Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court,
  3. for the LORD will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them.
  4. Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered,
  5. or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.
  1. 너는 사람으로 더불어 손을 잡지 말며 남의 빚에 保證(보증)이 되지 말라
  2. 萬一(만일) 갚을 것이 없으면 네 누운 寢床(침상)도 빼앗길 것이라 네가 어찌 그리하겠느냐
  3. 네 先祖(선조)의 세운 옛 地界石(지계석)을 옮기지 말지니라
  4. 네가 自己(자기) 事業(사업)에 勤實(근실)한 사람을 보았느냐 이러한 사람은 王(왕) 앞에 설 것이요 賤(천)한 者(자) 앞에 서지 아니하리라

  1. Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts.
  2. If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
  3. Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
  4. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
  1. Do not be a man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts;
  2. if you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you.
  3. Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers.
  4. Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.
