  1. 이삭이 나이 많아 눈이 어두워 잘 보지 못하더니 맏아들 에서를 불러 가로되 내 아들아 하매 그가 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 하니
  2. 이삭이 가로되 내가 이제 늙어 어느날 죽을는지 알지 못하노니
  3. 그런즉 네 器具(기구) 곧 전통과 활을 가지고 들에 가서 나를 爲(위)하여 사냥하여
  4. 나의 즐기는 別味(별미)를 만들어 내게로 가져다가 먹게 하여 나로 죽기 前(전)에 내 마음껏 네게 祝福(축복)하게 하라

  1. And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
  2. And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:
  3. Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
  4. And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.
  5. And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.
  1. When Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could no longer see, he called for Esau his older son and said to him, "My son." "Here I am," he answered.
  2. Isaac said, "I am now an old man and don't know the day of my death.
  3. Now then, get your weapons--your quiver and bow--and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.
  4. Prepare me the kind of tasty food I like and bring it to me to eat, so that I may give you my blessing before I die."
  5. Now Rebekah was listening as Isaac spoke to his son Esau. When Esau left for the open country to hunt game and bring it back,
  1. 리브가가 그 아들 야곱에게 일러 가로되 네 父親(부친)이 네 兄(형) 에서에게 말씀하시는 것을 내가 들으니 이르시기를
  2. 나를 爲(위)하여 사냥하여 가져다가 別味(별미)를 만들어 나로 먹게 하여 죽기 前(전)에 여호와 앞에서 네게 祝福(축복)하게 하라 하셨으니
  3. 그런즉 내 아들아, 내 말을 좇아 내가 네게 命(명)하는대로
  4. 염소떼에 가서 거기서 염소의 좋은 새끼를 내게로 가져오면 내가 그것으로 네 父親(부친)을 爲(위)하여 그 즐기시는 別味(별미)를 만들리니
  5. 네가 그것을 가져 네 父親(부친)께 드려서 그로 죽으시기 前(전)에 네게 祝福(축복)하기 爲(위)하여 잡수시게 하라

  1. And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,
  2. Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the Lord before my death.
  3. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.
  4. Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:
  5. And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.
  1. Rebekah said to her son Jacob, "Look, I overheard your father say to your brother Esau,
  2. 'Bring me some game and prepare me some tasty food to eat, so that I may give you my blessing in the presence of the LORD before I die.'
  3. Now, my son, listen carefully and do what I tell you:
  4. Go out to the flock and bring me two choice young goats, so I can prepare some tasty food for your father, just the way he likes it.
  5. Then take it to your father to eat, so that he may give you his blessing before he dies."
  1. 야곱이 그 母親(모친) 리브가에게 이르되 내 兄(형) 에서는 털사람이요, 나는 매끈매끈한 사람인즉
  2. 아버지께서 나를 만지실진대 내가 아버지께 속이는 者(자)로 뵈일지라 福(복)은 姑捨(고사)하고 詛呪(저주)를 받을까 하나이다
  3. 어미가 그에게 이르되 내 아들아, 너의 詛呪(저주)는 내게로 돌리리니 내 말만 좇고 가서 가져오라
  4. 그가 가서 取(취)하여 어미에게로 가져왔더니 그 어미가 그 아비의 즐기는 別味(별미)를 만들었더라
  5. 리브가가 집 안 自己(자기) 處所(처소)에 있는 맏아들 에서의 좋은 衣服(의복)을 取(취)하여 작은 아들 야곱에게 입히고

  1. And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:
  2. My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
  3. And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.
  4. And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved.
  5. And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:
  1. Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, "But my brother Esau is a hairy man, and I'm a man with smooth skin.
  2. What if my father touches me? I would appear to be tricking him and would bring down a curse on myself rather than a blessing."
  3. His mother said to him, "My son, let the curse fall on me. Just do what I say; go and get them for me."
  4. So he went and got them and brought them to his mother, and she prepared some tasty food, just the way his father liked it.
  5. Then Rebekah took the best clothes of Esau her older son, which she had in the house, and put them on her younger son Jacob.
  1. 또 염소 새끼의 가죽으로 그 손과 목의 매끈매끈한 곳에 꾸미고
  2. 그 만든 別味(별미)와 떡을 自己(자기) 아들 야곱의 손에 주매
  3. 야곱이 아버지에게 나아가서 내 아버지여 하고 부른대 가로되 내가 여기 있노라 내 아들아 네가 누구냐
  4. 야곱이 아비에게 對答(대답)하되 나는 아버지의 맏아들 에서로소이다 아버지께서 내게 命(명)하신대로 내가 하였사오니 請(청)컨대 일어나 앉아서 내 사냥한 고기를 잡수시고 아버지의 마음껏 내게 祝福(축복)하소서
  5. 이삭이 그 아들에게 이르되 내 아들아 네가 어떻게 이같이 速(속)히 잡았느냐 그가 가로되 아버지의 하나님 여호와께서 나로 順適(순적)히 만나게 하셨음이니이다





  1. And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck:
  2. And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.
  3. And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
  4. And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
  5. And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the Lord thy God brought it to me.
  1. She also covered his hands and the smooth part of his neck with the goatskins.
  2. Then she handed to her son Jacob the tasty food and the bread she had made.
  3. He went to his father and said, "My father." "Yes, my son," he answered. "Who is it?"
  4. Jacob said to his father, "I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game so that you may give me your blessing."
  5. Isaac asked his son, "How did you find it so quickly, my son?" "The LORD your God gave me success," he replied.
  1. 이삭이 야곱에게 이르되 내 아들아 가까이 오라 네가 果然(과연) 내 아들 에서인지 아닌지 내가 너를 만지려 하노라
  2. 야곱이 그 아비 이삭에게 가까이 가니 이삭이 만지며 가로되 音聲(음성)은 야곱의 音聲(음성)이나, 손은 에서의 손이로다 하며
  3. 손이 兄(형) 에서의 손과 같이 털이 있으므로 能(능)히 分別(분별)치 못하고 祝福(축복)하였더라
  4. 이삭이 가로되 네가 참 내 아들 에서냐 그가 對答(대답)하되 그러하니이다
  5. 이삭이 가로되 내게로 가져오라 내 아들의 사냥한 고기를 먹고 내 마음껏 네게 祝福(축복)하리라 야곱이 그에게로 가져가매 그가 먹고 또 葡萄酒(포도주)를 가져가매 그가 마시고

  1. And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.
  2. And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
  3. And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him.
  4. And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am.
  5. And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine and he drank.
  1. Then Isaac said to Jacob, "Come near so I can touch you, my son, to know whether you really are my son Esau or not."
  2. Jacob went close to his father Isaac, who touched him and said, "The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau."
  3. He did not recognize him, for his hands were hairy like those of his brother Esau; so he blessed him.
  4. "Are you really my son Esau?" he asked. "I am," he replied.
  5. Then he said, "My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may give you my blessing." Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought some wine and he drank.
  1. 그 아비 이삭이 그에게 이르되 내 아들아 가까이 와서 내게 입맞추라
  2. 그가 가까이 가서 그에게 입맞추니 아비가 그 옷의 香臭(향취)를 맡고 그에게 祝福(축복)하여 가로되 내 아들의 香臭(향취)는 여호와의 福(복) 주신 밭의 香臭(향취)로다
  3. 하나님은 하늘의 이슬과 땅의 기름짐이며 豊盛(풍성)한 穀食(곡식)과 葡萄酒(포도주)로 네게 주시기를 願(원)하노라
  4. 萬民(만민)이 너를 섬기고 列國(렬국)이 네게 屈服(굴복)하리니 네가 兄弟(형제)들의 主(주)가 되고 네 어미의 아들들이 네게 屈服(굴복)하며 네게 詛呪(저주)하는 者(자)는 詛呪(저주)를 받고 네게 祝福(축복)하는 者(자)는 福(복)을 받기를 願(원)하노라
  5. 이삭이 야곱에게 祝福(축복)하기를 마치매 야곱이 그 아비 이삭 앞에서 나가자 곧 그 兄(형) 에서가 사냥하여 돌아온지라

  1. And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
  2. And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the Lord hath blessed:
  3. Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
  4. Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
  5. And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
  1. Then his father Isaac said to him, "Come here, my son, and kiss me."
  2. So he went to him and kissed him. When Isaac caught the smell of his clothes, he blessed him and said, "Ah, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field that the LORD has blessed.
  3. May God give you of heaven's dew and of earth's richness--an abundance of grain and new wine.
  4. May nations serve you and peoples bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed."
  5. After Isaac finished blessing him and Jacob had scarcely left his father's presence, his brother Esau came in from hunting.
  1. 그가 別味(별미)를 만들어 아비에게로 가지고 가서 가로되 아버지여 일어나서 아들의 사냥한 고기를 잡수시고 마음껏 내게 祝福(축복)하소서
  2. 그 아비 이삭이 그에게 이르되 너는 누구냐 그가 對答(대답)하되 나는 아버지의 아들 곧 아버지의 맏아들 에서로소이다
  3. 이삭이 甚(심)히 크게 떨며 가로되 그런즉 사냥한 고기를 내게 가져온 者(자)가 누구냐 너 오기 前(전)에 내가 다 먹고 그를 爲(위)하여 祝福(축복)하였은즉 그가 丁寧(정녕) 福(복)을 받을 것이니라
  4. 에서가 그 아비의 말을 듣고 放聲大哭(방성대곡)하며 아비에게 이르되 내 아버지여, 내게 祝福(축복)하소서 내게도 그리 하소서
  5. 이삭이 가로되 네 아우가 奸巧(간교)하게 와서 네 福(복)을 빼앗았도다

  1. And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, that thy soul may bless me.
  2. And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.
  3. And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
  4. And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.
  5. And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.
  1. He too prepared some tasty food and brought it to his father. Then he said to him, "My father, sit up and eat some of my game, so that you may give me your blessing."
  2. His father Isaac asked him, "Who are you?" "I am your son," he answered, "your firstborn, Esau."
  3. Isaac trembled violently and said, "Who was it, then, that hunted game and brought it to me? I ate it just before you came and I blessed him--and indeed he will be blessed!"
  4. When Esau heard his father's words, he burst out with a loud and bitter cry and said to his father, "Bless me--me too, my father!"
  5. But he said, "Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing."
  1. 에서가 가로되 그의 이름을 야곱이라 함이 合當(합당)치 아니하니이까 그가 나를 속임이 이것이 두番(번)째니이다 前(전)에는 나의 長子(장자)의 名分(명분)을 빼앗고 이제는 내 福(복)을 빼앗았나이다 또 가로되 아버지께서 나를 爲(위)하여 빌 福(복)을 남기지 아니하셨나이까
  2. 이삭이 에서에게 對答(대답)하여 가로되 내가 그를 너의 主(주)로 세우고 그 모든 兄弟(형제)를 내가 그에게 종으로 주었으며 穀食(곡식)과 葡萄酒(포도주)를 그에게 供給(공급)하였으니 내 아들아 내가 네게 무엇을 할 수 있으랴
  3. 에서가 아비에게 이르되 내 아버지여 아버지의 빌 福(복)이 이 하나뿐이리이까 내 아버지여, 내게 祝福(축복)하소서, 내게도 그리 하소서 하고 소리를 높여 우니
  4. 그 아비 이삭이 그에게 對答(대답)하여 가로되 너의 住所(주소)는 땅의 기름짐에서 뜨고 내리는 하늘 이슬에서 뜰 것이며
  5. 너는 칼을 믿고 生活(생활)하겠고 네 아우를 섬길 것이며 네가 매임을 벗을 때에는 그 멍에를 네 목에서 떨쳐버리리라 하였더라

  1. And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
  2. And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
  3. And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
  4. And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
  5. And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
  1. Esau said, "Isn't he rightly named Jacob? He has deceived me these two times: He took my birthright, and now he's taken my blessing!" Then he asked, "Haven't you reserved any blessing for me?"
  2. Isaac answered Esau, "I have made him lord over you and have made all his relatives his servants, and I have sustained him with grain and new wine. So what can I possibly do for you, my son?"
  3. Esau said to his father, "Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me too, my father!" Then Esau wept aloud.
  4. His father Isaac answered him, "Your dwelling will be away from the earth's richness, away from the dew of heaven above.
  5. You will live by the sword and you will serve your brother. But when you grow restless, you will throw his yoke from off your neck."
  1. 그 아비가 야곱에게 祝福(축복)한 그 祝福(축복)을 因(인)하여 에서가 야곱을 미워하여 心中(심중)에 이르기를 아버지를 哭(곡)할 때가 가까왔은즉 내가 내 아우 야곱을 죽이리라 하였더니
  2. 맏아들 에서의 이 말이 리브가에게 들리매 이에 보내어 작은 아들 야곱을 불러 그에게 이르되 네 兄(형) 에서가 너를 죽여 그 恨(한)을 풀려하나니
  3. 내 아들아 내 말을 좇아 일어나 하란으로 가서 내 오라버니 라반에게 避(피)하여
  4. 네 兄(형)의 怒(노)가 풀리기까지 몇날 동안 그와 함께 居(거)하라
  5. 네 兄(형)의 忿怒(분노)가 풀려 네가 自己(자기)에게 行(행)한 것을 잊어버리거든 내가 곧 보내어 너를 거기서 불러오리라 어찌 하루에 너희 둘을 잃으랴

  1. And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
  2. And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
  3. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;
  4. And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother's fury turn away;
  5. Until thy brother's anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?
  1. Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, "The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob."
  2. When Rebekah was told what her older son Esau had said, she sent for her younger son Jacob and said to him, "Your brother Esau is consoling himself with the thought of killing you.
  3. Now then, my son, do what I say: Flee at once to my brother Laban in Haran.
  4. Stay with him for a while until your brother's fury subsides.
  5. When your brother is no longer angry with you and forgets what you did to him, I'll send word for you to come back from there. Why should I lose both of you in one day?"
  1. 리브가가 이삭에게 이르되 내가 헷 사람의 딸들을 因(인)하여 나의 生命(생명)을 싫어하거늘 야곱이 萬一(만일) 이 땅의 딸들 곧 그들과 같은 헷 사람의 딸들 中(중)에서 아내를 取(취)하면 나의 生命(생명)이 내게 무슨 재미가 있으리이까

  1. And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
  1. Then Rebekah said to Isaac, "I'm disgusted with living because of these Hittite women. If Jacob takes a wife from among the women of this land, from Hittite women like these, my life will not be worth living."
