  1. 破壞(파괴)하는 者(자)가 너를 치러 올라왔나니 너는 山城(산성)을 지키며 길을 把守(파수)하며 네 허리를 堅固(견고)히 묶고 네 힘을 크게 굳게 할지어다
  2. 여호와께서 야곱의 榮光(영광)을 恢復(회복)하시되 이스라엘의 榮光(영광) 같게 하시나니 이는 掠奪者(략탈자)들이 掠奪(략탈)하였고 또 그 葡萄(포도)나무가지를 없이하였음이라
  3. 그의 勇士(용사)들의 防牌(방패)는 붉고 그의 武士(무사)들의 옷도 붉으며 그 行伍(항오)를 벌이는 날에 兵車(병거)의 鐵(철)이 번쩍이고 老松(노송)나무 槍(창)이 搖動(요동)하는도다
  4. 그 兵車(병거)는 거리에 미치게 달리며 大路(대로)에서 이리 저리 빨리 가니 그 模樣(모양)이 횃불 같고 빠르기 번개 같도다
  5. 그가 그 尊貴(존귀)한 者(자)를 생각해 내니 그들이 엎드러질듯이 달려서 急(급)히 城(성)에 이르러 막을 것을 豫備(예비)하도다

  1. He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
  2. For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
  3. The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
  4. The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
  5. He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
  1. An attacker advances against you, Nineveh. Guard the fortress, watch the road, brace yourselves, marshal all your strength!
  2. The LORD will restore the splendor of Jacob like the splendor of Israel, though destroyers have laid them waste and have ruined their vines.
  3. The shields of his soldiers are red; the warriors are clad in scarlet. The metal on the chariots flashes on the day they are made ready; the spears of pine are brandished.
  4. The chariots storm through the streets, rushing back and forth through the squares. They look like flaming torches; they dart about like lightning.
  5. He summons his picked troops, yet they stumble on their way. They dash to the city wall; the protective shield is put in place.

  2. 定命(정명)대로 王后(왕후)가 벌거벗은 몸으로 끌려가며 그 모든 侍女(시녀)가 가슴을 치며 비둘기 같이 슬피 우는도다
  3. 니느웨는 예로부터 물이 모인 못 같더니 이제 모두 逃亡(도망)하니 서라, 서라 하나 돌아 보는 者(자)가 없도다
  4. 銀(은)을 擄略(노략)하라 金(금)을 勒奪(늑탈)하라 그 貯蓄(저축)한 것이 無限(무한)하고 아름다운 器具(기구)가 豊富(풍부)함이니라
  5. 니느웨가 空虛(공허)하였고 荒蕪(황무)하였도다 居民(거민)이 落膽(락담)하여 그 무릎이 서로 부딪히며 모든 허리가 아프게 되며 모든 낯이 빛을 잃도다

  1. The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
  2. And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
  3. But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
  4. Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
  5. She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
  1. The river gates are thrown open and the palace collapses.
  2. It is decreed that the city be exiled and carried away. Its slave girls moan like doves and beat upon their breasts.
  3. Nineveh is like a pool, and its water is draining away. "Stop! Stop!" they cry, but no one turns back.
  4. Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold! The supply is endless, the wealth from all its treasures!
  5. She is pillaged, plundered, stripped! Hearts melt, knees give way, bodies tremble, every face grows pale.
  1. 이제 獅子(사자)의 窟(굴)이 어디뇨 젊은 獅子(사자)의 먹는 곳이 어디뇨 前(전)에는 수獅子(사자) 암獅子(사자)가 그 새끼 獅子(사자)와 함께 거기서 다니되 그것들을 두렵게 할 者(자)가 없었으며
  2. 수獅子(사자)가 그 새끼를 爲(위)하여 植物(식물)을 充分(충분)히 찢고 그 암獅子(사자)를 爲(위)하여 무엇을 움켜서는 取(취)한 것으로 그 窟(굴)에 채웠고 찢은 것으로 그 구멍에 채웠었도다
  3. 萬軍(만군)의 여호와의 말씀에 내가 네 對敵(대적)이 되어 너의 兵車(병거)들을 살라 煙氣(연기)가 되게 하고 너의 젊은 獅子(사자)들을 칼로 滅(멸)할 것이며 내가 또 너의 擄略(노략)한 것을 땅에서 끊으리니 너의 派遣者(파견자)의 목소리가 다시는 들리지 아니하리라 하셨느니라

  1. Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid?
  2. The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
  3. Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
  1. Where now is the lions' den, the place where they fed their young, where the lion and lioness went, and the cubs, with nothing to fear?
  2. The lion killed enough for his cubs and strangled the prey for his mate, filling his lairs with the kill and his dens with the prey.
  3. "I am against you," declares the LORD Almighty. "I will burn up your chariots in smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions. I will leave you no prey on the earth. The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard."
