  5. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

  2. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
  3. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
  4. So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
  5. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
  1. "At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
  2. And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
  3. "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
  4. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door.
  5. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
  1. 天地(천지)는 없어지겠으나 내 말은 없어지지 아니하리라

  3. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
  4. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
  5. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
  1. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
  2. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
  3. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.
  4. It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
  5. "Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
